I wanted to take out a few minutes to write and just tell everyone what we have been up to lately because it always seems like so much is changing and developing within our family. As you have probably already read, Tatum and Ethan just had birthdays and they both got (sweet) new bikes.
Tatum is doing amazing in school and will be happy to welcome in summer. She went to a different school this year and has had a harder time making friends. We may put her back into her old school next year because she had already established friends there and I liked the teachers and the curriculum better. We will see what the future brings. She has a best friend named Mollie who she plays with daily. She loves helping with her little sister and making bracelets and drawing.
Ethan is as energetic as ever. He is still very much into pirates and loves dueling with his swords. He also likes collecting bugs from the back yard and "protecting nature" as he calls it. He is happy and sweet. He always enjoys giving me little "hi-ya choppie" kisses before bedtime and he says the cutest prayers. Sometimes he throws fits and can be hard to reason with. It is hard not to laugh, but I always talk him through it. He honestly says he does not want to go to school and that he "hates learning." He gets mad at me whenever I ask him to do his workbooks, do ABCmouse or do educational games on his nabi. I am a little scared that he will be a stinker for his kindergarten teacher next year. Hopefully there is a point of maturity that he gains over the summer. Keeping my fingers crossed!
Caitlyn is growing so fast and will be a year in 7 weeks. She is army crawling everywhere, pulling herself up on her feet by holding onto the couch, eating all sorts of new foods and probably weighs close to 18 lbs. She is curious and likes to put everything in her little mouth so I have to baby proof our home. She also says "dadada" all of the time. Her health is great and Dr. Marsden said that she is doing great for all she has been through. He said that she must have an angel watching out for her. She is surely a little spitfire with quite a temper, but a very sweet personality. It has been fun watching her grow and change. She was (finally) blessed by Mark this month also. YAY!

Mark was working for the Grounskeepr Outside Solutions for a year since April and really loved it. He was landscaping and doing maintenance for the residents at Sunriver. He has always enjoyed mowing, trimming and just landscaping in general. The Groundskeeper was a great job for him, but the pay to be quite honest was very dismal. He finally switched jobs and now is working for Greenscapes Property Services as a supervisor and is making better pay. He enjoys it very much and I am very impressed with his talents and precision in landscaping. Since Mark has began landscaping I have learned that it is not for everyone and not everyone is good at it. Mark is great at it. He works a lot of overtime and long days but it is worth it. I think he finally has found his knack. :) Here are some pics from his work.
As for me... I have just began going back to school to become a teacher. I am attending Western Governors University. I really like my classes thus far and like how they have it set up. It works for me better than taking classes like I did in the past at our local university. I was always struggling to find a sitter for an hour here and there throughout the week and this way I can put Cailtyn down for a nap and work on school work. I will graduate with my Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies (K-8). I am not working right now and blog quite bit (as you can tell) and have been on a journey to be healthier and lose weight. I have lost 20 lbs. so far and have been stuck at 20 lbs. for a while. I enjoy my children, I enjoy my husband and life is just great right now.
